ABOUT STC TAPIOCA

OUR HISTORY

STC TAPIOCA GROUP, as one of the subsidiaries of STC Group of companies, has played a leading role in Thailand's tapioca business for more than 25 years. Starting with the warehousing business in 1974 when a team of traders with over a decade of experience in agricultural business joined forces to establish Sang Thai Bangpakong Co., Ltd., and rapidly expanded into a major purchasing, manufacturing and trading for tapioca export.

THE HEART OF OUR BUSINESS

In order to cover all planting areas of cassava roots, our warehouses and factories are located at three different sites. In the Northeast where around 50 percent of tapioca roots is cultivated, Central Grain Co., Ltd. purchases and processes cassava chips into high quality tapioca hard pellets. In the Central plains, General Mills Corporation Ltd., is one of the biggest pelletizing factories and warehouses in the area. For the purpose of being the center of procurement and manufacturing in the East, Sang Thai Bangpakong Co., Ltd. and Cassava Industrial Co., Ltd. were established with present storage capacity of over 400,000 metric tons.

With the latest technology, our group's factories have currently the total output of 800,000 metric tons per year of the high quality tapioca hard pellets and combined warehousing capacity of approximately one million metric ton.

STC's tapioca products including tapioca hard pellets, tapioca chips and tapioca starch are mainly exported to and fully accepted by all EU member countries, as well as the non-EU countries such as Japan, China, South Korea, South Africa, all of which have been our consistent and mutual beneficial partners of STC Tapioca Group.
