The
legend of Palangmit Transport Co., Ltd. started almost two decades ago
when a group of veterans in tapioca export forcefully penetrated into
the world market amid fierce competition. One relevant factor which
played an important role for the success was the availability and the
sufficiency of barges to quickly deliver cargo to the ocean-going vessels
at Kohsichang.
An adequate
fleet of barges was then originated under the management of veterans
in sea/river transportation who wholeheartedly supervised the fleet
with professionalism. For the recent past, the scope of service was
not restricted to only tapioca and rice but it has now gone to cover
many other promising agricultural and industrial products traded by
clients in general.
In the barge
industry, the name of 'Palangmit Transport' is though not the biggest
but second to none when goodwill is taken into account. Whenever you

Nowadays,
we have altogether 64 barges with total tonnage of over 60,000 metric
tons under our fleet. Each barge is, by average, about 10 years old
and most importantly, well maintained periodically by experienced workshop
and crews.
Besides, in
order to render full service to meet clients' full satisfaction, we
have our own 3 tug boats with capacity ranging from 250-500 horse power
to fulfill towage requirement. This availability could ensure the uninterrupted
movement of all barges to the intended destination after cargo is loaded.
In
Thailand water, we go to almost all destinations. However the territories
which we frequently serve for the recent past include Bangkok, Ayudhya,
Cholburi and Rayong.
We
transport a range of those agricultural products like rice, tapioca,
wheat, soybean, maize and industrial products like steel, cement, coke,
fertilizer which are taking most of Thailand cargo traffic.
